Pulp – Stone Art
Stone Art has a unique fiber composition and has been specially designed for Powertex. Provides a natural stone effect, mainly in combination with Powertex Lead and Terracotta. Mixing with Powertex liquid, Stone Art provides a self-hardening clay. Allows you to sculpt small figurines or jewelry. Stone Art allows you to make fine or coarse textures on surfaces such as a sculpture or painting.
Use:
Stone Art is a kind of papier-mâché with a very specific composition. In combination with Powertex you get a self-hardening clay, to create coarse and fine constructions and stone effects.
You can use stone art in 3 ways:
1a. Thin structure: Apply a layer of Powertex to an object or canvas, drop on top of Stone Art, press the powder into the wet Powertex and press further on the Powertex in a circular motion. If you work with Powertex lead, you have a perfect blue stone imitation. You can also add dyes.
1b. Excessive structures: Repeat the procedure described above, as often as necessary, until the desired structure is achieved. Coat the surface again with Powertex and press pieces of clay as described above glued there. Also, use the rubbish again. Lubricate a few times with powder until the hand is completely dry and the desired result is achieved. Powertex may also like some polishing. Keep flat bare hands by rubbing the dust disappears and all the shine. A high gloss take some of the Powertex back on your finger and make this clay on the higher parts. Repeat the polishing and continue until the desired gloss is achieved. The more you do this, the darker the polished pieces become. Keep in mind that if you take the items out, dust will not remain. Try adding White PowerColor to Stone Art to maintain the white effects. Use two coats of Easy Varnish, let it dry for 2-3 weeks.
2. Clay for sculpture with : Mix the same amount of Powertex Powertex and Stone Art, mix by hand and keep adding powder until you get a kind of bread dough, which comes out of your hands automatically. It should not stick and you need the smooth dough. This clay can be modeled, constructions applied to a wet Powertex surface.
3. Clay breakage with pigments : Make clay as described above. Squeeze the ball of clay made with Stone Art and Powertex, up to 2 cm thick. Sprinkle with different dyes, rub the open ones and do it on both sides. Take a bottle or rolling pin, nail and roll out to half an inch or thinner. In the open roll, you will see the rattle. The role is always from the inside out with uniform pressure. Decorate your object with this clay. Stick the fins firmly by smearing the Powertex on the back.
