Bister liquid Acajou

Powertex Bister is a ready-mixed water-based liquid patina for use in conjunction with Powertex fabric hardener. Bister is not waterproof and should always be finished with Easy Varnish.

The easiest way to use the bister / patina:
Pour a small amount of Powertex Ivory, Ocher or Terracotta in the middle of a stretched canvas.
Spread the Powertex over the canvas with a spatula, making sure you have differences in thickness.
Spray one or more cell colors (see colored cell) next to or on top of each other.
Carefully dry the mattresses with a dryer. Start with the thinnest layers and then move slowly to the thicker ones. You will see the cracks appear immediately.
When everything is dry, you can remove some of the blister with a damp sponge. Be careful not to wipe blisters too much from cracked surfaces.

Important : the bister is not water resistant and needs a protective layer of varnish before going out.
Beehive boards should also be protected, preferably with a coat of varnish from a spray can.
