Hardening Powertex Ivory
Powertex textile hardener is a universal tool that can be used for all mixed media art, fiber art, sculpture, figurines, paintings, home decor and jewelry.
Powertex is an environmentally friendly water-based hardener for all absorbent natural materials such as fabrics, paper, cardboard, leather, velvet and fiberglass. It mixes easily with sand, wood powder, to create textures. Complies with most materials except plastic.
Powertex Transparent is a white liquid that dries with the original designs and colors of the fabrics. You can create your own Powertex paint by adding powder dyes. Dissolve the pigments in a little warm water and mix in Powertex.
Powertex Transparent is NOT weather resistant and is mainly used for indoor artwork. To make it waterproof you need 2 coats of Easy Varnish.
The artwork can be painted with pigments, patina, acrylics or oil paints. (Do not throw Powertex in the sink).
